Retaliation Against Rakesh Wahi, M.D. Wahi v. Charleston Medical Center Dr. Wahi argues that the Charleston Area Medical Center improperly summarily suspended his privileges in a bad faith effort to prevent him from competing with the hospital. The U.S. District Court ruled that the hospital is immune under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act (HCQIA).
